A shadowy woman in an old-fashioned dress is rumored to haunt the 7th floor of this library. Visitors who fall asleep here, especially men, are woken up by her hitting them on the back of the head.

This library opened its doors in 1930 and is rumored to be haunted by a man from around 1940. His spirit has been seen and eerie noises and bumping sounds have been heard coming from the area near the west wall fireplace.
