This hotel has seen most of its haunting on the fourth floor, where lights reportedly turn on and off on their own and faucets switch on and off by themselves. The hotel was allegedly built on the site of many historic city landmarks.

  • hmm

i booked a stay at this hotel for this past weekend. while i did not have any abnormal experiences i do not discredit the other reviews. i stayed the first night with other guests with me. the second night alone. the first night we wandered the halls looking for a working vending machine. 11th floor ice machine turned on and started dispensing ice. no one was in there. it would stop when we walked away from the door towards the elevator but as someone who works in a (non haunted) building where the switch gets jammed and does this i am not sure i would consider that paranormal but it was a little spooky as it was nearly 2:30am.

  • I'm pretty skeptical...

So, I don't really do the whole "haunted" thing, and as a general rule, I'm totally skeptical. But when I stayed at the Renaissance in March of 2019 for an event we threw there, I am absolutely positive that I heard a voice talking to me and yelling through my door. It was so loud that my husband could hear it and so could a friend. It was very gruff and just kept telling me it was trying to sleep. Finally, after about an hour of this, I went outside to knock on the door and apologize (the male voice had just yelled at me again) when I realized it was a totally empty vending machine room. I'm heading back next week, and I'll admit - I hope I don't get the same room this time. I also had some pretty spooky episodes in the old elevator, but I think that might have been more about age than supernatural activity.

  • Nightmares

My husband and I stayed here for his bday in Dec 2018. I did not see anything- but EVERYTIME I fell asleep, I had the worst Nightmares. They were so Vivid and Horrible. It is very odd reading the comment above- one of my nightmares involved my actual room also- the shower was running, for no reason and we were trying to get out of the room - away from the ghost-- it was our actual room. When I woke up from that one- I told my Husband- "This Place is Haunted".

  • The 11th floor. Room 1110

While we did not see actual ghosts, my husband and both had terrible dreams. My dreams all included dreams about hotels room. The worst one was in my actual room. When I wokeup I thought it had actually happened. I sat up in bed , there were what seemed like 100s of tiny orbs floating around the room. There was a dark shape that never quite took a true form by the window. I did not feel threatened at all.
