This building dates back to 1836 and has operated as an inn and tavern, a school and a private residence. It is now a restaurant and is rumored to have a female spirit that wanders around the upper floors, creating creaking footsteps and appearing in the windows upstairs. Legend says the woman was a former resident who killed herself after finding out her beloved had forsaken her. The legend continues to say she embroidered a sampler before killing herself tha says "Remember Me." It is now in display in the second floor hallway.

    When we lived in London, Ohio, we went to the Red Brick often. The food was okay, but I always felt that the bar had an ominous ambiance. I would never have gone upstairs ever! It was just eerie!

    As I was waiting for my meal, something came up to my back AN I felt a warm push at my back. Something /someone was there! But no one was around

  • red brick haunt

    I lived about five minutes away in amherst meadows in london. i to eat there at thanks giving. my big bad cousin thought it would be a good idea to try and "talk" to her. me being little didn't want to but I did anyways. so we went up stairs to the third floor door but it was locked. so my cousin started tapping his finger on the door for a minute nothing happened, but then the curtains on the door stared moving a lot then just stopped. i was so scared i almost peed myself. my as and thought it was hilarious, so he started doing it again. then he stopped, then there is a thumping Suns on the other side of the door. that's when we all ran. thanks for reading.
