OhioHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Marko Brnjic of King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses, to discuss what's new at King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses for the 2016 Halloween Season! Located in Oak Hill, King Farrar features a Haunted Corn Maze located in the backwoods of Southeastern Ohio.
The journey takes visitors through multiple terrifying scenes, each infested with creepy creatures who are awaiting their latest victims! Along with the scary-good fun, movie clips are also offered on the big screen and music is also played for visitors' entertainment.
What differentiates King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses from other local haunts in Ohio?
We have the biggest haunted maze around with it being 7 acres! There's a monster around every turn and places where you'd least expect it.
How long has King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses's history?
This is actually our first year in business. Marko and Brittany Brnjic have experience in running haunts in previous years and were approached by Justin and Brooke Farrar about setting up something at their farm. Farrar Farms has been owned by Justin's family for nearly a century and they have a lot of connections in the local community. This was a perfect opportunity for Marko and Brittany to help run a haunt that will be around for many years to come.
What's your favorite experience since opening King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses?
The amount of support we've received from everyone in the community. We walked through one of the largest lighted parades in southern Ohio (the Apple Festival) in our full costumes with someone driving a hearse and we were a little nervous about the reaction we would receive but everyone loved it!
How long is a typical haunt experience at King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses from start to finish?
It takes us about 20 minutes to get through it during the day and we know where we are going, so we'd say that it would take the average person 35-45 minutes to get through it.
What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?
Justin and Brooke are farmers and come fall time, the farm doesn't get used much due to the weather and crops are all done. It also gives Jackson County a true haunt since there's not one nearby for many miles.
Can King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses accommodate large groups? How many people can experience King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses together as a group?
We like to split up the groups into 5-6 people. We do offer a $5 discount for guests that do come in groups of 10 or more, but upon entrance of the maze, you will be split up into smaller groups.
Does King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?
Group of 10 or more? $5 off admission.
